The ability to identify, formulate, and solve computer system-related technical problems through the design and implementation of experiments, gathering of data, and the analysis and interpretation of data. 2. The ability to apply the fundamentals of electronics and computer hardware and software and significantly contribute to his/her area of expertise. 3. The ability to specify, design, build, analyze, and validate a practical system to meet a set of desired goals within the context of a broader application. 4. A working knowledge of the hardware and software design process including an understanding of recent advances, current practices, and trends in computer systems. 5. Preparation for graduate-level and specialist studies in computer engineering technology, electrical engineering technology, or computer science by acquiring an in-depth knowledge in the topical areas of these studies. 6.
