Construction Management Electrical Construction Management from Middle Tennessee State University is a Campus Bachelor Electrical Engineering degree that prepares you for a Engineering career. Electrical Construction Management (ECM) is a concentration under a four-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management that prepares students for a variety of construction-related positions in the ECM construction industry. The concentration is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management , and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). The program may be completed in three different formats: 1. The program may be completed entirely online utilizing a 2+2 program with Pellissippi State Technical Community College and completing a four or five year electrical apprenticeship through NJATC. The student would complete 11 online classes and spend two days on the MTSU campus completing lab work for two online classes and presenting a Capstone presentation. 2. The program may be completed entirely on campus at MTSU. 3. The program may be completed through a combination of online, on campus classes, and / or transferred classes. The program prepares graduates for entry-level management in the ECM construction industry with a broad background achieved through a variety of activities including lectures given by industry, field trips, and hands-on activities both in the classroom and in the field. Creativity and communication skills necessary to meet the challenges of industry both now and in the future will be practiced by the student as he/she progresses in the program. This program is designed to prepare graduates for supervisory or staff positions in a variety of electrical construction-related businesses such as Electrical Contracting, Purchasing, Estimating for Electrical Contractors, Electrical Materials and Equipment Suppliers, PreFab Housing Industry Builders, Electrical Codes Inspector, and Mechanical Contractors.
