Liberal Arts from Notre Dame of Maryland University is a Campus Bachelor Liberal Arts and Science degree that prepares you for a Liberal Arts career. The liberal arts major encourages the student to develop a broad understanding and appreciation of the main areas of human knowledge and values. Under the guidance of an academic advisor, the liberal arts student is encouraged to develop an integrated approach to the study of liberal arts . Shaping her liberal arts major, the student designs her course clusters to meet her interests and goals. The student is strongly advised to make her concentration selections prior to her junior year. For both Option A and Option B discussed below, the major consists of 12 courses, six of which must be at the 300- or 400-level. The courses in the liberal arts major are exclusive of the general education requirements for the degree . The 12 courses required for the major must be completed with a grade of C or higher. A student with transfer credits must also meet the above requirements. Students in the Liberal Arts major must take a minimum of two courses in each of the concentrations at Notre Dame.
